Here at Boho Betty, we believe every piece should carry a story, a sense of adventure, and a connection to the world. That’s why many of our products are named after the beautiful Greek Islands. These places are close to our founder Betty’s heart, as she spent many family holidays there during her childhood. After attending a wedding in Greece last October, she rekindled her love for the islands, and from that, our Greek Islands Inspired jewels were born.

Out of all the islands, Naxos stands out as a favourite of ours. This beautiful place has a lot to offer and has inspired one of our most loved jewellery pieces.
Naxos Island: A Hidden Gem
Naxos is one of our top destinations in Greece and a constant source of inspiration for us. We’ve even dedicated an entire jewellery stack to it, combining elements that reflect the turquoise seas, green mountains, and sandy beaches of the island.
Plaka Beach is the standout feature of Naxos. Imagine an unspoiled white sandy beach that stretches for miles. The water is clear and inviting, and the soft sand makes it a perfect spot for relaxation. Dotted along the dunes are wonderful restaurants serving fresh, wholesome food, all sourced from the island itself. Naxos is known for its local produce, especially its cheeses, which are a real highlight when dining here.

- Caya: Known for a delicious Burrata and tomato salad.
- Rada: A great place to try Arseniko cheese with sesame, a Naxos specialty, along with their excellent sea bass.
Fresh fish and seafood are staples across the island, and the dining experience here is all about quality and simplicity.

Naxos is also a great place to enjoy a laid-back evening. Watching the sunset at a beach club on Plaka Beach is the perfect way to unwind after a day of exploring. Betty’s favourite chill-out spots include Cedar Tree and Caya, where you can enjoy the mellow vibes and great views.
For those who prefer non-alcoholic drinks, the island has plenty of options that are refreshing and not overly sweet. Some of Betty’s favourites include:
- Summer Bliss: A mix of Tanqueray 0%, pink grapefruit, mint, and soda.
- Virgin Mojito: Ginger, lemon juice, mint, and soda.
And if you’re a beer lover, Greece has some of the best 0% beers, like Fix and Alpha.
Exploring Naxos Beyond the Beach
While Plaka Beach is stunning, there’s more to Naxos than just its coastline. The port is a lively spot with a quirky market and plenty of lovely shops to browse through. You’ll find everything from handmade jewellery to local cheeses, and there’s no shortage of cosy cafes and bars to relax in. Be sure to stop by Hurmas and Kitron for some local treats.
The island’s charm also extends into its hills, where you’ll find beautiful villages like Apeiranthos. These spots are perfect for a slower pace, where you can enjoy a strong Greek coffee and take in the traditional atmosphere.
